Cowboy Joe, who had worked with me for years repairing furniture, detested cats – Mitten, more than most. Joe was straightforward and down to earth. Mitten had an attitude—she was QUEEN! The cowboy and the cat formed an edgy relationship.
In the northwest corner of our Winnetoon Village Park is the City Jail. It was built along the railroad tracks and rarely used. Over the years the shingles blew off and neglect took hold.

His zoo was filled with fallen trees and rocks made into images of a man, an alligator and many weird creatures. The pictures my cousins had were promotional ones Uncle Claus had taken of his zoo.
